N is for The Noisettes

The Noisettes is an indie band that mixes punk, hard rock, blues and funk to create their sound; originating from London, England, the band was formed by Dan Smith and Shingai Shoniwa in 2003. Shingai Shoniwa does the vocals and plays bass, Dan Smith plays the guitar and Jamie Morrison (Whom the band met later on in 2003) was on drums. The band began to play live shows that same year and released an EP  in 2004.
Their first album was released in 2007 titled "What's the Time Mr. Wolf?"  and shortly following that they released a second album shortly after that. Just as the band was beginning to reach new heights in their career, drummer Jamie Morrison left the band, thus making the original members a duo. With their new found fame, the band went on to record a cover of the Buzzcocks' song titled "Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn't have)"and "Sister Rosettafeatured on the soundtrack to the ever popular "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Pt. 1".
I more so love their music from their early days. Their third album, however not so much. Although, it was still fused with their signature sound they were most known for was still present, the duo included a bit of pop into that album which I feel took away from their sound and perhaps the reason it wasn't as successful as their first two albums. Aside from this, I do hope that they will make a major comeback soon. They're the kind of group that you can just sit back and just chill and listen to the play on a rainy but relaxing day. I absolutely love it and I bet you will too!!
