Before I begin, Blogging from A to Z challenge: 2014

So it's that time again, Blogging from A to Z 2014 has come back around! This will be my second year participating in it. Last year was so fun so I definitely couldn't miss the chance to do it again this year. I usually like to write a quick overview blog where I explain what my theme is, just to be clear on what it is you'll be reading about.
Last year, my theme was Women that inspire me. This year, I decided the theme is Supernatural characters, Gods and Goddesses, Superheroes and Mystical creatures of African Descent and Origin. I wanted to write about different characters that I feel movies and stories should be made about; it is very rare that we see these characters and creatures mentioned in mainstream media or in other words, their more likely to be looked over. Plus I wanted to learn more about these characters and creatures so that possibly I could write about them and bring their stories to light; not only to share but also maybe one day write the next big thing that finally shows a black woman super heroine on the big screen (wishful thinking)!
At any rate, I do hope that you'll learn with me and that whoever decides to read these entries will enjoy reading them as much as I had fun researching and writing about them. So if you have a passion for the weird and supernatural, I invite to read my blog!! Thanks in advance, and Yahooooo! Let the Blogging from A to Z 2014 commence!

  1. Now I know where to come when I need inspiration for supernatural creatures in my stories. Not that I've gone supernatural so far. Most of my stories have been prosaically contemporary, but I love fantasy, so it's only a matter of time before I give it a try.

  2. Cool topic. The name Isis caught my eye here, as I just helped my son finish a goddess project, and I recognized the name. I'll be interested to see your choices throughout the month.
