Although Kelly Cutrone has been around for a while as a top publicist for the entertainment and fashion industry. She's also the owner of her own company called People's Revolution.
I first became aware of Kelly Cutrone on an mtv television show named The Hills. Where two of the main characters went to work for her. Kelly is known for being very blunt and never holding back. After that show ended. Kelly wrote two books; the first titled "If You Have To Cry Go Outside" and the second "Normal Get's You Nowhere", I read both and was in awe of how profound her opinions were and also just her whole outlook on life. I really enjoyed learning about her life and how she had always been this sort of black sheep of her family. (Something I can definitely relate to).
Kelly is an inspiration because she challenges those around her to be fearless, to be willing to help others and to go for what we want in our lives. She especially stresses this to women; so many of women are taking care of everyone else that we often forget about ourselves and I personally have this issues on occasion. I am learning not to keep my feelings bottled up and I am also learning that whenever a situation isn't right, then it's time for a plan B. One big thing that I can't leave out that Kelly has taught me is to not take anyone else's shit; if there is someone or a certain situation that is causing me pain, annoyance, or I am not vibing with then it is time to move on. No looking back and no regrets.
Kelly in her own words:
"Follow Your Intuition, be smart, be brave , tell the truth and don't take any shit."
"I advise you to stop sharing your dreams with people who try to hold you back, even if they're your parents."
"We as women are accepting crumbs, when we should be feasting at the buffet."
